Island Peak or Imja Tse Peak

The most popular trekking peak in Everest region. Island peak is also known as Imja Tse peak .Island peak Is Located on the top of chukung glaciar between Mt. Amadablam and Mt. Lhotshe. Every year more 300 group attempt to scale of the summit of Island peak.

This trek offers the stunning view of Himalayan panorama and you see Bhuddist culture old Monastery This trek also provides spectacular views of the Himalaya in the  khumbu region including Mt. Everest (8848m) Mt. Nuptse (7879m) Lhotshe (8501m) Lhotse Middle Peak (8410m) Lhotshe Shar(8383m) make semi circle of north. The views of Makalu (8501m) Baruntse(7129m) in the east and the most famouse expedition peak Amadablam(6812m).

The normal route for Island peak is south east Flank and South west ridge normally, Island base camp is set at Pareshya Gyab(5087m) between Imja Tse and lateral morine of the  Imja glacier. Proper care should be taken to avoid the possible avalanche in the event of heavy snow fall. From the base camp a well acclimatized party in good condiotion can make summit and return to base camp in a day. However most of the climbers prefer alpine style camping at high camp which adds joy of climbing and helps a safe ascent.
