Mera Peak

Mera peak (6654m) is the permitted trekking peak of Nepal. It stand to the south of Everest and dominates the watershed between the heavily wooded valley of Hinku and Drangnak. Mear peak its selfrise to the south of Everest It is technically said to be the very straightforward climb. People without any mountainneering experience can also climb this peak. The first ascent made by Col Jimmy  Roberts and Sen Tenjing made the first successful ascent of Mera peak on 20 May 1953.

The base camp is can be set up at 5300m Mera Lha  on Hongu morine below the ice and from here high camp is set up at 5800m. High camp offers you a gloriouse panaromic views of himalaya Everest. Makalu, Cho Oyu,  Kanchanjunga,Lhotse, Nuptse ,Baruntse, Amadablum and other peaks.
