The highest paradise on earth, the land of the snow and roof of world. Its lies at ethereal average altitude around 4000m above sea level. Tibet a sacred land of myths and mysteries inhabited by the ever smile people, richly decorated monasteries, temples and unique tradition and culture. It remained mysterious and hidden for centuries in the Himalayas. For many, Tibet remained a mysterious land of snows. For many explorers, imperialists and traders, Tibet was a forbidden land of treasures and riches. Many outsiders on spiritual quest admired Tibet as an ideal place hidden with magic and mystery. Tibet was an Independent country in 7th century. Then after His holiness Dalai Lama headed the Tibetan government along with line of spiritual leaders from 1640s until 1950s. Today Tibet is a part of Chinese government.  

Tibet is one of the most remarkable places in Asia to visit. Tibet has many monasteries, breathtaking high-altitude trek routes, stunning views of the world's highest mountains and very friendly Tibetan people. A trip to Tibet will take you past snowy mountains and turquoise lakes. You will go over many high passes, with prayer flags draping form the hilltops. General Information 

Visa 
All tourist visiting Tibet required valid passport and visa for travel to Tibet (China visa). The Chinese government prohibits individual traveler to visit Tibet. The Chinese embassy will only issue visas to travelers on groups tour I e. if there is a single tourist or less than 5people then they will have to join in order to get visa. If you are eager to observe the beautiful Tibet but cannot gather a group then you might have to join another group of people in order to get the visa. Along with the visa it’s compulsory to get the alien travel permit to get into this land.

 Climate and Clothes
Tibet is cold in winter and cool in summer generally dry. Warm clothing is required through out but more specifically from October to April. In general dressing in layer is the best. Few change of clothes with shirt, sweater, jacket & cotton inner lining with tops and bottoms. Comfortable walking shoes, pairs of pain should suffix. During October to April wear woolen or down clothing & boots. Also you need water bottle. Water purification medicine and it is advisable to bring to your own comprehensive First Aid kits, sunglass with good ultra-violet protection. Sun cream lip cream.

However, please be reminded that all programs in Tibet are strictly conducted under the rules and regulations of the Tibet Tourism Bureau. Therefore, neither Adventure Gaurishankar Treks (P) Ltd. Nor its Tibet Agent shall be responsible for any changes in the itinerary due to unavoidable circumstances including: government restrictions, landslides, road blockages, flooding, snowfall, political disturbances, flight cancellations, illnesses or accidents. Any additional costs that are a result of such circumstances shall be covered by the travelers.

Altitude sickness 

Altitude sickness is common problem in a high place like Tibet. When you fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa. You will ascend from height of 1360 to 3650m.In this level the amount of oxygen is pretty low.      Tibet has an average elevation of over 4,000 meters (around 13,123 feet). While allured by its mysterious beauty, tourists are frightened off by mountain sickness. We specially advice the guest known heart or lungs or blood disease to consult with their doctor before travelling. Headache, loss appetite and stomach disorder can take a place for acclimatization. Our advice better acclimatization, drink enough water and breathe deep,  take rest more than usual  and do not  exhaust your self so much.

Lhasa tour 
3 nights 4 days (fly in & out)
This is a 4days trip inside holy city Lhasa. In the Tibetan Lhasa means Place of Gods
Day 1 Fly Kathmandu (1350m) to Lhasa (3650m) 
Morning you will fly for about 1 hour over panoramic Himalayan range to the capital of Lhasa. Lhasa is situated on the north bank of Kyichu River. On arrival you will met by the local representative and transfer to hotel .Full rest in the afternoon to acclimatize. Over night in Lhasa.
Day 2 -3 in Lhasa 
Two full days sightseeing tour in Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera monastery
Day 4 Lhasa to Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport and fly back to Kathmandu or to your onward destination.

Adventure tour to the center of Tibet  
4nights 5 days (fly in & out) 

This adventure trip is suitable for adventure seeker with small leave plans. This tour covers some adventure tour to the centre of Tibet- Lhasa. This is also a perfect small vacation for the busy students and workers looking forward for a short yet very refreshing and adventurous vacation. This tour costs you very small amount of money and whatever you spend in this tour will prove to be worthy.

Day 1 Fly Kathmandu (1350m) to Lhasa (3650m)

Tibet tour 3
Overland Tibet tours 8 days (drives& fly out)

The first day of tour begins with a 123 Km of driver from Kathmandu to Zhangmu or a 156 Km drive from Kathmandu to Nyalam through stunningly beautiful country sides of Nepal in to the Old hina through the Friendship Bridge. Second day passes with excitement as you will drive uphill to the high Tibetan plateaus to Xegar where you will get to see the true Tibetan landscape. From the high plateaus you can observe and photograph high mountains like Mt. Cho Oyu & Mt. Xishapagma. Day three of the tour from Xegar to Xigatse passes in a scenic drive crossing over Gyatchu La Mountain. On this road you will find a route to the Mt. Kaikash. You will have to wait for the morning sightseeing and Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu monastery visit after which you will drive to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu monastery and come back to your hotel to stay overnight.  On the fifth day you will drive full day crossing over Karola, Kambala, and colorful Yamdrok Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Bramha Putra to the holy city of Lhasa. Lhasa deserves two full days of your attention and visit. Here you will visit Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Potala Palace, Drepung & Sera Monasteries. Don’t forget to buy something for your people back home in the Lhasa streets. The 8th and the final day of your tour take you to the airport for your departure flight back to Kathmandu or other destination as you have planned.

Day 1 Kathmandu to Zhangmu (2500m)
Early morning scenic drive to Kodari (Nepal –tibet border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside. Andafter necessary border formalities both at Nepalese and Chinese immigration check in Hotel. 

Day 2 Zhangmu to Shegar 4050m 
Day drive uphill to the hightst plateau of the workd with the typical view of tibetan landscape offering sheering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world crossing over LALUNG LA (5,050M) weather permitting with breath taking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt. CHO OYU (8,201m)  & Mt. sishapangma (8,012m) but dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau. Overnight at hotel

Day 3 shegar – shigatse(3900m)Continue scenic drive crossing over Gyatchu La (5,220m), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a read to Mt. Kailash Bifurcates to the west. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 4 shigatshe – Gyantse (3950m)
Morning sight seeing to the Panchen Lama’s Thasilhumpu monastery. Drive to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum stupa and Phalkor monastery. Over night at hotel

Day 5 Gyantse – Lhasa (3650m)
Full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5010m), Kambala (4794m) colorful yamdrok lake and Tibetan Lifeline River Brahma putra (yalung Tsangpo). Over night at Hotel

Day 6-7 Lhasa 
Two full days sightseeing tour in Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera monastery

Day 8 Lhasa – Kathmandu 
Early morning drive to Gonggar airport for departure to Kathmandu or to your onward destination.

Kailash Pilgrim tour
